Loring Timing Association - July 2011

Here's the deal - once a year, people drive alllll the way up to Caribou, Maine, to drive their backyard-built machines as fast as they can possibly go on the 2.5 mile abandoned Loring Air Force Base runway. We brought up the first vegetable oil powered motorcycle to race there, setting an initial record of 56.535mph for the alternate fuel class. Also on tap for the weekend was the world's first sit-on motorcycle to break 300mph.
